TRAINING RULES

The "Paw-Ticulars"

Dog's Age:   Dogs must be at least 4 months old.  Most veterinarians do not want you to expose your puppy to other dogs and public areas until completing their puppy shot series.

Shoes:  Tennis shoes with soles that grip are best.  Trainees with improper shoes won't be allowed to train in class.

Shots:   Dogs must have current distemper/parvo/corona shots and current rabies shot (if old enough for rabies shot).

Equipment:   The required equipment for class will be available for purchase at time of registration.  This includes a training collar (choke chain 2 inches bigger than dog's neck), a 6-foot leather or nylon leash, and a 15-foot longe line.  Our prices are very competitive!

Students wishing to use an E-collar in Novice or Citizenship class must have at least one private E-collar lesson before bringing dog to class.

Trainee's Age:   Trainees between 14 and 16 years of age must have a parent attending all classes.   For trainees 18 years or under, parent must sign application.
 

Security:  No dog may be left unattended or tied up at any time.

Liability:  The person(s) signing the application will be responsible for any and all damage and/or injury caused by his/her dog.
 

Refunds:  No refunds are given after the first class is dismissed.

Handlers:   Only the person applying for training will be permitted to handle the dog on leash.   Family members may AUDIT classes.

Attendance:  Because of the importance of the material covered in the first two lessons, you MUST attend the first two classes to be accepted for the rest of the course.
